EECH Is Now Offering Telemedicine Services!

Elaine Ellis Center of Health (EECH) is diligently monitoring the development of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and taking all appropriate and necessary precautions for the safety and well-being of our patients and employees. We remain vigilant and continue to follow the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines.

In response to this pandemic, EECH is now offering Telehealth appointments!

This innovative effort uses technology to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 in our local communities.

If your appointment qualifies, you will now be able to visit your provider via a TeleVisit, which is a two-way virtual platform provided by EECH that minimizes the risks of potential exposure.

TeleVisits provide a platform for a secure two-way video visit between the patient and the provider. This ensures our patients have access to the health care needed, but from a distance as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control in light of the current pandemic.

The new process will work in the following manner:

  1. Patients will call EECH to inquire if their appointment qualifies for a TeleVisit.
  2. If the team member determines the patient’s visit type can be effectively conducted via TeleVisit, they will schedule the appointment and provide instructions on how to use the platform.
  3. Patients should be prepared to provide full details of symptoms, and travel-related history each time they visit with health care providers.

As always, the safety and well-being of our patients, staff and communities is paramount. EECH is actively working to ensure a seamless experience during these catastrophic circumstances.

We care about you and our goal is to protect all those we serve, with remarkable care.

Most Sincerely,

Elaine Ellis Center of Health
